A few artichokes coming back. Some cucumbers 🥒 , and zucchini starters. The last two planters are a few peppers 🌶 and some tomatoes 🍅 😋.

One of the items on our list for the property here is the above ground planters, the original garden did little other than feed rabbits and round tailed squirrels. I want to pour concrete panels, have a plan for interlocking tip-up panels that allow for pretty much any reasonable size. But so many things ahead of it...

Our artichokes are just appearing, citrus doing well. Weeds thriving. Been in the 50s which is ok in the sunshine. I’d like to grow little peppers again.
Friends have tomatoes and zucchini. Love zucchini bread!!
I like the seasonal changes. Hope your snow melts and you get sunshine. My soul wants sunshine.

I have 17 Tomato plants which have been in the ground since early March, I started them from seed mid-January. Started blooming a week ago and saw first small tomato today. Also a few Peppers and Eggplant, and the Bitter Melon seeds just started sprouting today. If it's not raining tomorrow morning I will try and get a couple pictures to post.

Yum artichokes. Doesn’t get hot enough here to grow them. Love those as a treat though, we get them down at the local fruit and veggie stand.

Here's a few pics of some of my garden setup. Sorry the snow just melted 3 years ago!! I built the cage 2 years ago, but the heart surgery delayed it's use until this year. Without it I would lose most of the crop to the birds. Garden is overrun with weeds at the moment. It's on the list!!! IMG_5482 by Findrocks, on Flickr

HankRocks Very nice little garden area. What kind of birds eat your crops? Here it’s deer. Mostly Cardinals and Mocking Birds. I try and have Lantana bushes as the blooms go to editable seeds they both like. In most years with a mild winter the plant has been blooming for a month and a half and has an alternate food supply ready for them. This year we dropped below 20 degrees and the Lantana froze, it's coming back now but will be to late to help distract from the tomatoes.

HankRocks - That repurpose on the trampoline is ingenious!! AzRockGeek - Our dog goes out to the raised garden with my wife every time she goes out. He knows he's going to get a couple cherry tomatoes and green beans. He loves green beans and carrots...and he LOVES to crunch them! It's hilarious listening to him eating a carrot! LOL

It was difficult to get rid of the Trampoline. There were so many memories with the kids playing on it. It had netting and the "trampoline soccer" bouts between my middle one and his sister(2 years younger) were better than anything on Television. It really helped his soccer being able to judge the ball in the air and taking shots on the fly. I think we had just wore out the the 2nd jumping surface before retiring it. Then there was the "launched" spring that came loose and hit my wife's van windshield about 40 feet away, fortunately no damage.
So now it adds to the eclectic look of the backyard.

I was going to post something VERY similar! Next week's forecast looks promising Ours too...calling for 70's Monday and Tuesday! I'm not sure if I can remember what to do with temps like that! LOL It was difficult to get rid of the Trampoline. There were so many memories with the kids playing on it. We drive by a pond on the way into town. There was a trampoline stuck along the edge of the pond...just out of reach to actually retrieve/remove it. The wind had blown it in there a couple years ago. Nobody took the time to retrieve it until last Fall sometime...that or it finally sunk flat!

You guys are killing me. Around here we don't put out tomatoes or peppers till after Mother's Day because that's when the last frost occurs on average. Today I planted a bunch of seeds that should pop up after the last frost.
