I haven't been doing much wrapping or cabbing. Lots of stuff on my plate. So, I decided to do a simple wrap before I tackled a big square project. I got the main frame made and I was fitting it when the prism stone just crumbled. It was very thin. 3 20g wires was a bit thick. Anyway- CRAP!

Noooo. Wow it really came apart, my sincere condolences. FWIW that's a pretty wrap even with nothing in it <3

Well that stinks - I'll have to agree with others- that would have been a nice cab to showcase. MAYBE, if you're lucky you have another cab a similar size that can slide in there. Hope so

The large triangle piece has really nice colors and maybe could be reworked into a new cab shape?

I'm so sorry--it could have at least broken *before* you prepared the frame wires. RIP.

Damn, Tela -- that blows chunks! Sorry that happened, but that plasma agate is very susceptible to cracking and crumbling. I'm with Starguy - a long list of profanities would have come out of my mouth!

Thanks everyone... Yup, I cursed. But, I wasn't as mad as I feel I should have been. I just calmly cleared my mess and put my stuff away. Not tempting fate. LOL!

I've been doing that a lot here recently. Hard to "like" that one. I hope I'm done with the breaking. I did buy a bunch of thin cabs, though....

It was actually a kaleidoscope agate aka prism stone. I have a slab. Now I don't know if I want to cab it.

Why don't you put that slab in your pressure pot ? Looks like it would be a great stabilizing test.

I knew that and I think I had plasma stuck in my head because of the cab contest for Ed that Tommy posted. Just switch plasma to kaleidoscope. The rest is still true. I tried cabbing a piece once and it crumbled all over the place. It just depends on the rough you have. I know it can be cabbed, but the pieces we bought (at Q I think) were just too crumbly.
