I was just surprised where I found it. Hoping to have some of it cut tonight. I'll post those pics if it happens. I have to explore a little more but expecting to find some pet wood & probably some other Jaspers. We'll see.

i'm thinking jasper too. it looks like the material inside the succor creek or blue mustang minus the part that makes it a picture jasper. can't wait to see after you get it cut.

Yup. Picked up one of the WF saws. And went after a few rocks today. This pic didn't turn out real clear. But the rock really doesn't look that much different. Pretty uniform texture. No banding. And a little more grey. When wet it is still very green.

Wow that's way cool. Thanks for the close up! Does that look like it absorbs water really fast or no?

I'm not sure that it is absorbing water all that quickly. Its over 70 degrees here today and kinda dry so I think its kindof drying out.

Ok was just curious. Someone on here either mentioned it or I read it on the net that rocks that absorb water fast don't always take a good shine. Hope it's not the case with yours.

I don't really know. It was just a kinda different rock. Unexpected etc. Figured a few pieces shouldn't hurt anything to try tumbling.

Oh heck Casco, I didn't mean that you were wasting your time or anything. I'd sure give it a try and I'm not even sure about the water absorbing thing. Maybe I'll post a question about it cause now it's bugging me where I got that from. Anyway, I think it's pretty amazing in color and all and sure hope it'll shine for you.

Nah. didn't take it like that anyway. I don't know what I'm doing to start with so I can't really hurt anything by finding out if it will work or not. hehehe.

Hmm, maybe I'll change my vote to jasper. At any rate, it's got very good colour, better than any green rock I've ever found.
