Yay, Christmas shopping is done! That's probably the best one stop shopping I've ever seen! My business plan is buy rocks, make cabs, sell cabs, buy better rocks. The ones in the selection I made over 10 years ago. The good stuff is from my wife's collection. I've spent some time sorting cabs but these were in boxes unsorted. I get to go Christmas shopping for rocks.

Just received my [very full] cigar box! Packaged beautifully, they all made the journey intact. I was hoping the cigar box would smell like cigars, but maybe next time I'll request a more recently used box. 😆 Thank you, Stephen! So many beautiful pieces. I just wish I knew more names than coquina jasper and tigers eye! Some day... Cigars are usually sold with each cigar cellophaned. When a cigar box contains cigars not wrapped in cellophane the box can pick up the oils from the tobacco. There are two types of cigar boxes; all wood Spanish cedar and what is called dress boxes which are wood covered with printed paper. The dress boxes are thin enough to fit in the large flat rate padded envelope which holds more than a small flat rate box and costs about the same.

I added 12 and 17. I started using tape and cardboard for a customer who made large orders and I would send a picture of the cardboard and cabs to show exactly what was shipped. Fresh tape was used on the third row of 12 and all three rows of 17 is stronger than my previous roll and holds the cab like a boa constrictor. It will take extra time to unstick the cabs.

Jeez. You are a cabbing machine! I wish it was responsible for me to buy more. I hope you're still selling these in a couple months. If I hold true to my promise to myself that I'll start learning to wrap and get through some cabs, I'm going to get myself another box.

Anything in the selections that I made was done more than 10 years ago. What I discovered going through the Riker boxes was the size of my wife's collection. She would bid on cabs at ebay, they would arrive and then be put into boxes. I never paid much attention to what she bought since it wasn't remotely a financial strain. I think she got a lot of great bargains since most things were auctions and a high starting point or a reserve turned off buyers. I found this one which is too good for bulk.

Well, I gotta say Steven, your wife had good taste, but by golly, you come up with some delicious material and cabs yourself.

I've spent a lot of time recently organizing and decluttering my house. This probably got me started with the bulk cabs. I have 4 Riker boxes left to make up selections and 20 empty Riker boxes.

How many boxes have produced these selections thus far? Was it all 20? Maybe 50 boxes of unsorted cabs. Some were only partially filled and were combined. A selection was around 20 cabs and a Rider box will hold about 50 depending on size.

I got my cabs today. None broken and all great quality. Thank you. I tried to send a pm but the system is giving me fits today, par for the course considering the washing machine decided it didn't want to drain or spin anymore and I got my offer on a property turned down with no counter offer or anything. It hasn't been a good year for me. On the subject of cabs, I don't know what the black tape from hell you used to attach them to the cardboard but it definitely holds on and takes patience to get it off.

drocknut. To remove the tape, could you use acetone? Good luck to you!
