I've never cabbed a Laguna. I marked up the slab and won't cut it for a while.

I don't do belt buckles. The framing was good so I laid a 40x30 pear over the same area. Why no belt buckles? This is something I'd like to learn eventually.

I am not interested on making jewelry. Lots of belt buckle cabochon settings. A significant percentage of my sales are to silversmiths and no one has asked for an oval cab for a belt buckle. Everyone has favorite shapes and circles or ovals are not ones I use.

I overdid the buying this time. One thing I learned is that hard to judge size and since things sell fast I sometimes don't have the opportunity to ask for dimensions. The Guadalupe is a single cab slab and for what I paid not a good roi. Guadalupe is expensive and a tough find. I've accumulated enough to stop chasing it. Top picture is three specimen grade Coyamito agates that I will slab and bought on trust. The other is a fire agate nodule that I will play with. I have no experience with fire agates. It's a hobby and Ilike to play. Bottom picture is a faced El Sueco agate with a nice pattern which will produce 1 or 2 nice cabs. Also a Kentucky agate slab. I thought it might have broke but the pieces don't fit together.

I've been eyeing some Kentucky Agate slabs lately. I'll be watching to see what you do with those.

My latest order was trick or treat. I grossly overpaid on the Guadalupe. I've learned my lesson to ask for size and my next order includes a Guadalupe piece where I asked for size so I will have yield and value. The Howardite was also a single cab slab but I got it for 1/3 what I paid for the Guadalupe. It is old stock which sells for more than double of the new material. Old stock has the rattlesnake pattern. The new material is close but not the same. I got an 8oz piece of Butterfly wing that was sold as Cold Mountain. Lots of Cold Mountain, but the BFW is no longer available. Whatever was available went to India and made into junk.

Two small slabs; Biggs and Flame agate. Flame agate is one of my favorites. The Blue Biggs is extraordinarily nice.

Guadalupe is 6x10cm and the Luna is 11x9cm at the widest.

14 oz piece of Morrisonite rough. Something I chase but rarely catch. I can't sell cabs for enough to cover the cost of the material. No Matrix. I wish it would warm up enough to go outside and make some facing cuts.
