Anyone use them? Seems like a family business with some decent prices and some more unusual options. I just ordered 10 Lbs of Blue Lace and 10 Lbs of Rose Quartz.

Will do. I ordered yesterday so not really expecting anything for a week. They are on the East Coast so shipping should only be a day or 2 for me

I ordered some Indian moss agate from them (5 lbs). I have a 3 lb barrel of it in coarse now. I'm doing 3lbs of their stuff and 3 lb of Rock Shed Indian moss at the same time (in different barrels) to see if there are differences in quality ECT . . . Prices were fair, shipping reasonable, and I got my stuff quickly. No complaints.

Their headquarters is about an hour’s drive away from here. Alex is the guy who owns the business. He is a former (reformed?) tech-whiz, who has been a lifelong rock hound. While in the tech business he traveled around the world a lot, and saw the opportunities for buying rocks everywhere where he went. So he decided to quit the rat race and do something he really loves. As he put it, why am I making a lot of money for others when I could be making it for myself? He is a good guy, I’m guessing mid to late 30s, a family man with a beautiful and happy family, and he will do his best to make every customer happy. Some of the stuff he gets is super nice rock, some of it doesn’t do much for me…however this latter stuff may be because the rock itself doesn’t really do much for me. He tries his best not to charge the absurd prices many other sources do. He does occasional “open house” days where you can go in and hand select what you want yourself and buy as much or as little as you want. Everything is nice and relaxed and friendly, I’ve never had a bad experience with him or at an open house. I buy some of that blue lace every time I’m there. I’ll try to remember to get some pics at the next one (within 2 weeks I believe) and post.

geoff59 thanks for the info! I have 2 SILs in NH so a visit would not be out of the question. Depending on where in OH the other warehouse is located, that would be an easy day trip for me as well. If I like the blue lace I think I may pull the trigger on a 100Lb lot as I really like the price. I had 2 of my grand kids BEG me to tumble them some rose quartz, so that was really good timing for that order.

I'm getting a bit worried. The tracking number they sent was a dead link. I scanned the QR code they also sent and it shows the delivery as being delivered at 7 am but not a thing to be found. It shows as shipping DHL which really has me worried as they couldn't find my house if their world headquarters were located right next door. The last package I got from them showed delivered for 3 days before it finally showed up. I asked the guy WTF was going on, and he told me my house doesn't show up on GPS (bull) and that he has been driving around with the package for a week in his van. I'm hoping that it was delivered to my local post office and that the tracking is just messed up. I was hoping that it would show up in time to get into todays clean out as I had room in the 12 Lb barrel, but alias it was not meant to be

Got my tracking number finally. My local Post office has had my box since Thursday. Supposed to be at my house on Monday. Uggh. The local PO has not delivered mail to my house in 3 days. They get like this sometimes. My neighbor stopped over to see if his mail was delivered to me by mistake as he hasn't gotten any either. We are at the end of the run, so when they get too busy they just skip us. Must be my regular lady is on vacation because she never skips us.

We notice when there's a sub-driver, they can't seem to make it through the route. Our mail usually gets to our house around 2:30-3:00 with our regular mail lady. We've watched the sub drive straight past our house at 5:30 without stopping...when I KNEW they had a package for us. They updated the tracking info with "unable to access property". It was sunny and 70 degrees. They couldn't access the property because they wanted to be done. Arghhh

My old driver was either stealing packages or chucking them instead of delivering. Even a huge box the post master saw and verified it was mine disappeared.
She no longer works there so I have a whole new batch of idiots to deal with.

He's a good dude and always makes it right. He had a couple other stores one in Texas and one in Ohio. He only ships rocks from the NH location (for whatever reasons). You don't have to wait for an open house to shop and pick stuff out by hand BUT you do have to contact him and make an appointment. It's super easy and he's really nice. So much to choose from. Some pretty good and some stuff can be meh.

Mail carriers in a rural Minnesota post office overwhelmed by Amazon packages say they’ve been warned not to use the word “Amazon,” including when customers ask why the mail is delayed. “We are not to mention the word ‘Amazon’ to anyone,” said a mail carrier who spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect their job.

We are lucky that we have a real nice mail carrier, Brittany, she is awesome. My wife keeps giving me heck that I'll piss her off with all the heavy Rock boxes. I told if she hasn't gotten mad yet we are in the clear.

Well I finally got Giggle Photos to work (updates and several restarts later I can finally get my photos off the stupid website) Very nice rock. Rose quartz will need further processing (got a chunk in the saw as I type). Some of the Blue Lace was tumbling size so those go in on Saturday very nice stuff, solid and clean (very little host rock and garbage)

Here;s a couple from the open house. Once again, a good trip, good chats, this latter is one of the main points I think but it’s not something one can photograph, is it? Always some good deals too. I’m going to estimate that there was 300ish packages/boxes that were stacked on carts and waiting for a USPS pick up. I was especially looking for some quartz-veined, coal black sardonyx (India) but he was out of the bin it would’ve been within 😣, so I got some sodalite, and some snowflake obsidian instead. There were some really nice carnelian spheres along with a single smoky quartz sphere, which came home with me as well.

Nice! This is what my rock shop needs to look like! I started cutting some of it and I am not disappointed at all. Good solid quality stuff
