Thanks Jason, I'll take a look at the ID thread. Thanks for offering help on shapes too. I've been playing around the last couple days with just a few different slabs and try to decide on shapes and location. I seem to be getting better just by coming on here a couple nights a week, reading the post. I've been playing with this cab machine for a year now. I don't get much time on it during the summer months, but this is my second winter on it. I kind of collect rough and slabs in the summer when I'm working. Winter months are for the hobby shop.
What I need to do is figure out how to post some pictures here. Maybe I'll work on that tomorrow.

Oh meant to say, I have a cousin in Switzerland that comes home now and then. I would have her find some there and bring a few pounds home.

What I need to do is figure out how to post some pictures here. Maybe I'll work on that tomorrow. If you do a search on here, there used to be a "Cab that Slab" contest. Someone would put up a slab, then people would take the picture and choose their spot (and shape) for their ideal cab out of the slab. Then the winner would get the slab to make the winning cab. It was fun to go through those and and try and determine why people were picking the spots they were. Oh meant to say, I have a cousin in Switzerland that comes home now and then. I would have her find some there and bring a few pounds home. That would be really awesome! Plus...it's fun to imagine the faces on the Customs officials as they're pulling rocks out of the luggage to inspect them! LOL ***EDIT - Also, if you can't figure out Cloudinary, maybe check out Tapatalk if you take the pics on your phone. That's what I normally use.

I set up the Cloudinary so I should be able to use that. Any pictures I have right now are on my phone, so I would need to use Tapatalk for those. There nothing special just some random photos I've taken with my phone camera. I'm actually in search of a Nikon 60mm Macro lens that I can use with my DSLR. I belong to a photography forum and posted a WTB post. Always kind of wanted a Macro lens anyways. I would also be able to post pictures from the desktop, which seems easier to me. In the mean time I'm going to see what I can do with the phone camera.

Thats some seriously gorgeous material. Beautiful work and beautiful shape choices, you seem like you have a great eye for the shape placement! By the way...I checked out your Tik-Tok vids. You posted a Botswana you cut on 12-30-21 which is mind-blowing! (It's the one you cut "lengthwise"!) Thank you so much!

Very cool cabs. It sure looks like the black in those mystery cabs is black tourmaline aka shorl but otherwise no clue what it is except that it's cool.

Lovely body of work! Gorgeous cabs but my favourite is the second OJ, that is masterful with the black crystal vug!

Interesting on the potential tourmaline ID! Thanks!! Lovely body of work! Gorgeous cabs but my favourite is the second OJ, that is masterful with the black crystal vug! Thank you so much! One of these days I'll likely spend a small fortune and get a really good OJ slab to cut all up! LOL
