BTW Patty, liveoak, I didn't mention before but that's a nice collection of Griswold cast iron skillets. I'd love to have those but I'm using Lodge. I do have a vintage ebleskiver pan that we use. We usually use 2 and I have a modern one too but it doesn't compare to the vintage.

Wow. Super nice! Congratulations on the finish! I have heard tons of people complaining about the nightmares of dealing with the contractors on remodeling. Your project seems to land very well!

I think we have one of every size, and extras of some sizes - Even a couple of the deluxe ones, with the outsides nickel plated. And, the rarest of the rare, at least one lid for one of the larger ones We used to scour the flea markets for them.
Your kitchen makeover is amazing - I probably would have kept the window, though, and put a bird feeder out there Patty

Wow. Very nice.👍 Your before was cozy which I liked too. You’ve really opened and brightened it up though. I like the colors. I also noticed the cast iron, in both your kitchens. ( liveoak ) It’s all we use here. And some carbon and stainless steel as well. The carbon takes a season similar to cast. Good for eggs. The stainless is good for acidic or simmering.

rockbrainVery nicely done. We did our kitchen five years ago, and we did cabinet colors similar to yours. With the exception of our island which is a dark walnut, all of our cabinets are white. We also used large white(ish) subway tiles for our backsplash like you did. I originally didn't want to do it because of the cost, but I'm really happy my wife pushed it. There's no doubt in my mind you'll enjoy it. So, enjoy!

You did a great job on the kitchen remodel! It's beautiful and well laid out. Being a realtor, all I could think of was that you just added some serious equity to your house.

I LOVE how you opened that up!! What a difference between that "cramped" feeling I got from the before pic (where the cabinets were over the dishwasher)...but moving that whole section of counter was SO smart! That really looks "elegant"!!

That's a great kitchen and a good investment. I'm too old to do the work on a remodel. I had the hall bathroom remodeled by a contractor. It was shot. He wanted to do my kitchen, but it would be a bad investment. People spend a lot on kitchens where I am and would likely redo it when they bought my house. I did replace my almost 35 year old 24 inch oven with a 30 inch convection and two new cabinets in order to install it.
