I love March- it brings the promise of Spring.... and I think a great challenge.
Patty liveoak has chosen this month. I'm going to be away for a few days, so Patty can answer any clarification questions.

I want to clarify that more people should join in the challenge every month It's inspiring to see other examples of creativity.
As to clarification - wider than taller - anything goes. It's not a contest, just a way to push yourself to create something new.
Hope you have a nice trip, Tela.

Another great challenge. I was really trying to get something together last month but just couldn't get it done. I hope to get one in this month.

I agree, more people! Unfortunately it’s harder than I’d like it to be for me to find time! It’s been probably 6+ months since I was able to play around with my wirewrapping. I do keep an eye on this and if ever I have a few hours free it’s on my short list of options to jump on.

Here's my wrap for this month wider than it is tall. Plasma agate with copper.

Most excellent rockbrain, what a way to start things off for the month! That wrap seems to go perfectly with your new avatar, it looks like it came out of Odin's forge
I particularly like the curls on the bail, & the way you attached the cab. Nice !

Thanks Patty. Had some issues with aligning this one but I'm starting to get this style down. Somehow the vertical ones are easier for me to do like this. I'm glad you picked this theme. Pushed me out of the comfort zone a bit. Actually haven't wrapped for a bit until last night. I did four last night and two more this morning! Odin's forge is a good thing. Maybe I'm channeling my Danish heritage.

Wonderful Gary rockbrain! I needed inspiration, and now I've got it--just don't have very much to work with that is longer than it is wide. But I'll be looking. . .the challenger is indeed that. BTW, I don't want to copy Patty, but I thought the wrap matched the new avatar as well.

Longer than wider is easy peezie, Just take any stone, or sheet, or found object, and turn it sideways. Unless it's a perfect circle or square, it's always wider in one direction.

Patty Patty, is "longer than wider" all you are looking for? I was struggling a bit with this because it said twice as long as wide, or something like that, and I don't have much with those dimensions.

Longer than wider is all I really meant, Susan susand24224. I said twice as long as wide, just so it looks horizontally orientated.
But just think horizontal and you got it.
Patty.... I guess I better get my own thinking cab on.

Plus it says the wrap has to be wider than taller, not the stone being wrapped.

Despite the temporary consternation of "I don't have many choices in this parameter" the joy at learning that I have plenty of choices far outweighs the previous consternation.

I don't know about you all, but Spring has sprung here and I got my eye on a dozen yard projects. Hard to think about wrapping. LOL! I'll get it done, though.

I seem to do my wraps in the evening, so maybe you can save some energy from all your spring day projects, and still pull it off.

Patty Scraped the paint on the porch yesterday. It may be too chilly to paint today. Might be a good day to wrap.
