Got a few finished this weekend. The first is rainforest jasper. I got some really nice slabs of rainforest, mushroom, and lilypad (all trade names??) jasper. I did one of the rainforest and lilypad - but the lily pad is almost faceted looking - can see the flat spots around the girdle so it needs more work. Then I was finally able to get my hands on some (lower grade) dino bone - what I could afford . I think it looks really nice. None of these are glamor shots so the shine doesn't show up as well as it does in my hand, but you get the idea. Really easy to work with - easier than I expected.. And then the four I have lined up from L - R - Unsure on the first - but it's amazing, then another dino bone, river jasper and the other ocean jasper I had Thanks for looking!

I would rate the Dino bone a little higher than low grade, and you made a beautiful cab with it. Rain forest is one of my favorites. Moving right along. Thanks for sharing.

I've seen some drop dead gorgeous bone pieces - i was definitely happy with how it turned out so thank you!! The rainforest surprised me - little agate windows and fun patterns.

You are doing great. Nothing like getting Projects finished. Rain Forrest jasper is tiny thundereggs from Mt. Hays, Australia. All kinds of trade names.

I love Dino bone but have been too afraid to work the pieces I have. Some day soon. Your cabs look nice. Looking forward to seeing your next four finished. Glad you got your scratch issue solved.👍👍

Thank you!! Hope to find time this weekend to do some more You are doing great. Nothing like getting Projects finished. Rain Forrest jasper is tiny thundereggs from Mt. Hays, Australia. All kinds of trade names. It does feel good to know you're moving right along I had NO idea rainforest jasper was from Australia. I seem to be wracking up more and more Aussie rocks than I expected. That makes me happy Thank you! Nice work lily pad is super cool. Hope you find time to finish the rest. Keep them coming nice to see a plan coming together. Thanks for sharing Thanks!! I really like the look of the lilypad - I just need to work out my flat spots I love Dino bone but have been too afraid to work the pieces I have. Some day soon. Your cabs look nice. Looking forward to seeing your next four finished. Glad you got your scratch issue solved.👍👍 Thats how I felt too - I overpaid for the little pieces I got - out of 5 little pieces, 3 were end cuts and I'm not sure what to do with them. I was worried about it falling apart as I've heard it needs stabilized sometimes - this piece worked so nice!! I did start it on the 220 though, not the 80. I'll look forward to seeing yours!

Nice work rocknewb101! I'm loving the improvements with the new wheel! 🙌 Amazing how much of a difference that has made. Sorry you had to go through that. Must have been frustrating, but at least you know it's not you that was broken!

Must have been frustrating, but at least you know it's not you that was broken! Thank you! It's been such a relief lol - I seriously was considering throwing in the towel and sticking to tumbling. Fantastic job on those two pieces Peta!! I really like that Dino Bone! I agree...it's a little better than "B" grade material! Thank you!! Glad to know about the dino bone! I wasn't really sure, but it was a fun piece to work with.
