Ed, Those are really great! I would've never 'thunk' that the tear-dropped one would be translucent like it is...very nice. My fav is probably the 3rd one down....lokks like total chaos! Thanks for sharing them with us. Like em' all. Steve

Wow Ed. That is some great craftsmanship. The red one had me mezmorized for a while. What kind of stone is it?

Hey all. Thanks for the compliments. Sounds like the general concensus is that the 3rd one is Stone Canyon jasper. I was given these slabs so I really don't know what a lot of them are. The red one is more of a jasper than an agate, but I really like the intensity of it's color. The teardrop one is a brazilian agate and the one with what looks like a chip is ? some kind of agate. These digital cameras really show everything. I didn't even notice the fracture on the first one until I looked at the pics. It's not even noticeable on the stone. I'll have more done in a couple of days, there's about 8 more preforms ready to be polished.
Thanks again, Ed

That stone canyon jasper is wonderful, but I like em all, especially the first white and tan colored one. I'd name it "root beer float". Very nice work! Steve
