Incredible shine, Jack! Great beach rocks too -- makes one appreciate the joys of a good rocky beach! Nice crocus pic, are those snow crocus? (species type, not hybrids?). Snow crocus are the only reliable crocus in my part of the planet, but right now they are buried under a foot of snow .

Hi All, Many thanks for your kind comments
Can I also thank James for his recepie that he posted last year, since following his method's I have had a lot better results.
I have been polishing for about 5 years with a 18 month gap in the middle,I stopped because my results were "Rubbish " Thanks to James and RTH they lit the fire again !!.
Pete Blue grey stone I think its a Jasper
Stefan, I found that the foundation for a good polish lies in the 2nd run cut it short and that = a bad result
I change the grit after the first week then 10 days then another 10 day
Rose, & 181 Lizard The red and yellow I collect at Port Mulgrave ( this is a site of a old Alum mine and I think a lot of these could have come out of the spoil) the rest at Carnelian Bay
Mark. Fine again today but very very cold .
Don The Crocus is the ordanary one.
Oh ! The tumblers are Home made and run at 42 RPM I Just added (The Above) tumbler details ( the more mathmaticaly minded can work out how many miles and adjust this to a comercial Tumbler to give the correct tumbling times)
Thanks again
Jack Yorkshire UK Ps Photoed outside in sun with my back to sun shading stones! unless said other wise, Jack
