I look forward to seeing the cabs at some point.👍 Glad you got some leisure time out in the sunshine. I can relate to savoring that little bit of time.

You guys found some beauties. It’s insane how much variety there is. So many different colors and patterns. Thanks my friend! It's the same area I took you and Isabelle out to that time! Did you recognize some of the rocks in the first pic?? I look forward to seeing the cabs at some point.👍 Glad you got some leisure time out in the sunshine. I can relate to savoring that little bit of time. Thanks Khara! I have Sundays and Wednesdays off normally...but still tend to do some work a lot of Wednesdays. Taking Monday and Tuesday off this week gives me four days off...in a row! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be moaning and groaning Thursday morning! LOL Thanks Dillon! All in a days work out here! LOL Nice haul! You took no time putting that saw to work. Love the variety. Thanks Chris! The weather turned to crap yesterday afternoon...rain...and wicked winds. I knew if I didn't do them yesterday morning, it would be a spell before I could get to them! Thanks Lee! There really is a lot of yellow in these rocks. Good thing we didn't take Blue with us...I would've been concerned with where all the yellow came from! LOL There's a lot of cabbers there! Nice variety. Thanks Tela! I might sit down tonight and draw on a few of these slabs. Some beautiful stones. Glad to see you're going to work some of these there's some nice stuff in there. Thanks Gary! There's quite a few spots in these that I've "eyed" for cabs. Some of this material is among the hardest material I've ever worked...and it must have a high silica content because of the shine these can get! Take your wife each and every trip because she has a great eye. She finds them and then you cut and cab for gifts ar sale. Dangit Victor! LOL She has shown me up on more than one occasion when she goes hounding with me! LOL Love the variety. This one is a killer: Thanks PS! I'm pretty sure that one will be left as a slab. I might face-polish it and leave it as a specimen piece...which I don't do very often at all! LOL Man, that looks like so much fun. I could spend days digging through all of those rocks! Good stuff! Thank you so much! There is so much "river rock" being spewed out of the buttes, I tend to get "sensory overload" sometime around hour 3 or 4. That, however, has never deterred me from continuing! LOL

Hounding Rocks from the Prone Position reminds me of hunting Ants From Ground Level Thank You... There is a slight chance of running into rattlesnakes out there...but according to my wife, the chances are astronomically high! LOL - I was surprised she was willing to lay there in the prone position as long as she did! LOL I've been out there when the flies were horrible...being in the middle of cattle country. I was super grateful no significant amount of bugs (including ants) were out this early in the year. I did see a cricket though! LOL

I'm really happy with some bargain rhodochrosite that turned out to be much better than I thought. It was so cheap, I don't even want to say.
