SAY WHAT?? They look fine to me- in fact, better than fine. Thanks my friend! I know since I freeform and don't dop they'll never be perfect- and there's a few imperfections in a couple of the stones. However, I did learn something... That Script Stone is some messy stuff to work with but it takes a great polish!

They look great to me! I have something similar to the script stone (from southern Lake Michigan on the Michigan side) that I am about to try to do somthing with. I was worried about how soft the matrix is so I stabilized it (I am assuming you got a muddy mess when cabbing it). Will see how it turns out.

I didn't have to stabilize this but my cabbing area, hands and arms looked like a crime scene from the red water. π

Nice! That Indian Script Stone is a tough one to polish too.

Nice! That Indian Script Stone is a tough one to polish too. Thank you, sir! I must have gotten a good slab because I didn't find it too bad. Or maybe it polished well for me because I didn't know any better...π

Those are great, Mike !! I really like the palm root (?) The one on the bottom left looks like a skull/face. That stone definitely has character & takes a nice polish. Thanks for sharing, Patty

Thanks for sharing, Patty Thank you Patty! Yes, palm root One of my top 5 favorite stones I've ever worked with. Something about the patterns I think- I can always see lots of things in the cabs that I make with it- and it even usually lets an amateur like me get good results! π Oh, and now that I see the skull I can't unsee it!

Look good enough to party from where I stand. Nice work Thanks! Now I just need to get motivated to wrap again. The problem with that is that I'm having too much fun cabbing...

Those all look great to me! Impressive that you're doing them freeform and no dopping.

I think my stubborness(?) to keep doing things this way comes from previously doing all of my cabs with a dremel. Could I make better cabs the other way? Possibly. π

Another nice batch of cabs my friend! I saw you had posted "love at first sight" on the Palm Root. Good! Do you know how many material I still blame you for introducing me to! LOL I made the HUGE mistake last night of not putting gloves on when shaping a preform of Psilomelane last night! I don't think I'll ever get the black out from under my fingernails! LOL
