Dayum. Yeah hard to stop a Trane but I make a good living keeping them going. I am happy to help you convert your system to a legacy thermostat. Sure, it may not have every feature, but it will have the feature where the AC works! Send PM, and I’ll give you my number. Thanks. Already ordered another thermostat, but would be good to know if it fails again. Sending you a message.

Sorry vegasjames. You have some extreme heat coming. I really feel for you and Jax.
We called about our part. Their computer has been down since Thurs. I don't know when we'll get ours fixed, either. It was 107 with the heat index the other day. I went to my brothers.

Just got A/C back up an running. Kind of late since we have already cooled down from 120F to 114F. Jax says it has been very RUFF!!! Been trying to get the newest thermostat to work that was supposed to be new. Apparently it was used before and every time I deleted the bridge (connection to router), which was for a router in Georgia, and rebooted the computer, it would re-install the router bridge in Georgia. Then, the thermostat was looking for the system in Georgia as well as mine leading to the error codes. Called Trane support, which was worthless. The lady told me that both error codes were with my unit, not the thermostat, which was false. And she said the one code error was for an open heat relay, which was also false. Both error codes according to the Trane site were for the thermostat multiple configuration error codes. Then she gave me the number for a service repair company. I called them and turns out they are back East in Virginia. Tried contacting some local A/C companies on Yelp. That was a nightmare and worthless as well. Called my mom's husband who used to work on A/C units and asked him about the error codes and he agreed it was trying to find both units. Unit never took me to the Setup Wizard, so I looked it up in the manual and they mentioned the factory reset, which when I looked on line they said just to reboot the system, which I did multiple times. So, followed the directions, which went well until I reached "technician access". At first it would not let me in despite pushing the button in several times. I finally held the button down for about 10 seconds and it let me in, and gave a warning of should only be accessed by technician, blah, blah blah. Anyway, from there I did a factory reset and left the WiFi disconnected so that it would not try to find any other units. That did it, the A/C kicked in without the conflict of trying to find the other unit. Hope this helps someone else that ends up with the same problem. No need to contact a technician. Same with when you get maintenance notices that are every so many days. My unit would shut down every time I got these, which was especially bad when I traveled. I just turned off the power at the breaker box, waited a few minutes then turned the power back on to reboot the system. Already cooled down to 92F in here. Feels so much better.

And Jax came back up on the bed this morning to snuggle against me. Better than laying on the bathroom tile.

The heat has been absolutely miserable.
