realrockhound - That explanation was so gross. Me no likey. That's not true. I liked the explanation but not the gross mealy bits. I almost regret asking. I thought you were kidding because caca is poop in spanish, at least for kids anyway. Sheesh. See people, this is why you should NEVER lick rocks. You could end up with a mouth full of parasite infested neanderthal poops. Time for lunch anyone?

Personally, I like the bit about their diet primarily being an animal that they would have been importing… Neolithic haute cuisine?

That is confetti Agate from Mexico Awesome! Nice identification there! I half expected this to be a fairly unique specimen that never gets labeled

1dave just out of curiosity, do you know of other materials with similar events? Theoretically I knew it could happen, but I’ve never seen something like that. There must be a lot of nifty material wherever this came from! Looking into similar material might help track down the region, at least. No, but any where the land moves, it is possible. many places are known as "Land of the shaking earth."

Thanks for the ID rmf - I'm getting out my tongs and my hazmat suit and putting this in a bag with a label. *phew* 1dave - Land of the shaking earth - I like that.
