I have a used MK 101 10" wet tile saw. It needs a submersible water pump. Since there is no way to order it online, I called them. A robot answered. Apparently, MK abruptly quit the US. Couldn't get further information. Part 151271. Robot says might have a new number. A different company is trying to help customers. The company name has the word Scott in it. Maybe.
Anyone have any further information? Can I get an appropriate water pump elsewhere? The part I need says it is a 115 volt submersible water pump for MK-101, 1080, and 2000 series saws.
Thanks.

Congrats, Pat on your new to you saw. I have an MK 101 & love that thing. Any aquarium pump will work, you just have to be able to easily hook it up to the hose.
Here's a pump on Kingsley North that would work. You'll just have to look at hose sizes & fittings. We fitted mine with a small valve in the line to control the flow of water. I don't remember if it came with it or not.
If you have any questions about using the saw, just let me know.

If its the Scott industries I'm thinking of then they are what became of the old raytech company. I know raytech still makes vibe tumblers but they used to make grinders/expandable drum units.
I am less familiar with mk but I think they were merged at one point with barranca (who bought out star diamond). I remember hearing that the mk blades everyone raves about were made in a South Korean factory, maybe their equipment division was still in the US. It has been talked about quite a bit lately that mk went out of business.
Regarding Scott industries though, try emailing the company, I have heard that the owner is quite helpful!

That is actually just a little bit alarming, since raytech has pretty much disappeared since Scott took over. From the business perspective it almost seems like they are just holding onto copywrighted business names and assets to prevent certain individuals from getting them for their next run of Chinese built tools. I heard awhile back that Ukam diamond blades are from the same factory as MK/Barranca but the source of that info is not always reliable.

Thanks, everyone. I’m working on it. Water pump arrived. Just out of curiosity, and to close the loop for anyone else who comes across this thread, where did you end up obtaining the pump?

aDaveThis is the pump we installed. It needed a little bit of help. $18.99 CWKJ Fountain pump 400GPH. It came with three connectors of different size. All were too big, so we bought a smaller connector and a new hose. All is well. Today, I am cleaning the entire unit, and tomorrow I'll start slabbing. I'm trying to copy the Amazon picture link here, but haven't figured out how yet. I appreciate all the help.

Go to the address bar at the top of your browser. It will have the web address to the page. Highlight the address. You can click on the address a couple times till the whole address is highlighted.
Right click copy and choose copy.
Go to the page you want to share the address with. Click to put your curser where you want the address to be.
Right click and choose paste.
The address should appear. You now know how to copy and paste.

If you have a hard time, while you are on a post page, you can insert a link by pasting the link in the drop down form found in the button above right next to the email button. It's a little image of the world. Click that and paste your link where it says URL. URL is another word for web address.
I know it sounds like a lot, but after a few times it becomes second nature.
