To all who have expressed an interest in my writing a book- Thank you! I am well underway. I have chosen a desktop publishing program, Affinity Publisher and a publisher KDP (Amazon). I have chosen about 400 of my best pieces and will have to work on whittling that down and editing them all for size and dpi. I have to decide on organization, title (I have a firm idea of what it would be), chapters, the cover, the size, etc. It's actually A LOT of work, but I'm pluggin' away. If all y'all enjoy the book, it will be worth it.

What an exciting thing to see this afternoon! I am happy to help (if possible) and am sure many others on this Board would feel the same. But most of all, I will not be waiting for the finished product . . .already knowing I will love it. |

One thing I need stress is a lot of these I have not posted. Gong through the myriad files, I keep finding more and a lot of them I had forgotten about. Good luck Tela. This is exciting! Any kind of rough idea on how long it will all take? Well, there is a learning curve on some of the software. I have some rough ideas on how it should go. I think I have decided how to break it down into chapters, but I'm wondering if I need to. Honestly, I have enough for several books, so it will be really hard to whittle it all down to one. At the rate I'm going- I'm thinking a couple months. Maybe less. I just, literally, pray to G-d that I am cropping all these to a good size. I think I have narrowed it down to 300 pieces. Gotta pare it down. It will be all pendants. I could do another for earrings!

Honestly, even if it included ever wrap I've seen of yours, I would still very much feel it a worthy book to have !
And, I sure hope you do a second one on earrings - I'm an earring person.

Good news is, there is no cost up front to me. So, I can afford to do this. I publish, they take money of the top and I get a percentage after sales. The actual cost to publish it, in terms of the printing isn't too high even with a big glossy book. The best benefit to going with KDP, is that it will be sold on Amazon. Free shipping and huge customer base. Some of them are bound to be interested. |
