Hello all, long time no type. I pop in sometimes, but it's been a while. I saw I had a couple of messages and one was a Happy Bday wish. I was moved. I went back in the Life board to my bday and I'll be damned, so many of my old friends remembered me and sent me good wishes. I was touched. Now I am inspired! New job, leave early, get home late, so little time. But I caught myself just sitting on the coach today (day off) and checked the board. The rock monster inside me has awakened. Really! and here's photographic evidence. The original plan was to use Lil Ed (double 3# barrels). I loaded with pet wood, crazy lace and gaetz's stuff: But 'Lil Ed had a boo boo I forgot about, slipped a pin So I dumped it into Big Red, plus about 5 more lb. And I'm on the roll again! Had to smoke a cig after that it felt so good Ok, now I HAVE to keep you posted, so... no excuses... I'M BAAAAACK! I love you guys, cookie

Hi Randy, I call it "'Lil Ed" because Stoner made it for me. The man does Beautiful work.

Stoner must be a carpenter. I've seen some home-built tumblers but that's the first one I've seen that actually looks "finished".

Hi Cookie. Damn, you been away for way too long. Welcome home. And get that hammer away from lil Ed, you ain't gonna fix it by whacking it!. Looks like the "e" clip fell off the shaft under the cover. Just take the cover off and you should see the clip laying on the bottom of the base. Push the shaft back in and put the clip back on the roller and you should be back in business. If the clip is broken, let me know and I'll send you some more. Uh Randy, I'm a cabinetmaker/woodworker, not a carpenter. Know the difference between a cabinetmaker and a carpenter?....About $10/hr. hahahaha. Thanks for the compliment though.
ps. 'lil Ed looks like it needs a good cleaning and a coat of paste wax!!!

Sounds like you're on a roll. I know "very punny". Cool tumbler. It looks like furniture.

I'm somewhat new here, but thanks for the pics. I haven't come across many handmade tumblers and that one is great! Kudos to Stoner!

Hey Cookie - great to see you back. The thing about rock tumbling is a break is good from time to time - otherwise you end up with no cash and a house full of rocks.

Yeah, Blarney, I did. He's something else. Mark, the house full of pretty polished rocks kinda made me back off. But my jewlery table is still set up and ready to go. Heck, I keep buying beads on Ebay. I was really thinking about sell my equipment when I saw the Birthday wishes. I told my hubby and he said "No, you love this too much. You'll find the time again." Hi Herm and Cher and Rocky and... All of you! Looking forward to my first check of the old barrel,
