Terrific stuff! It's beyond my price range, but I see why it can command such a high price. -Don

Stunning rock and cabs. I think I like the cabs with the inclusions better, but both groups are fantastic.

A lot of people do like the ones with the malachite or varigated appearance better than the pure stuff. The pure stuff is more expensive, but the varigated material is more interesting and more organic looking. I'm still trying to figure out where the different materials lie carat price wise, but I know the darker blue ones which are translucent and even in color are the more valuable ones.

While there's no questioning that some of the ones with inclusions are very impressive, I definitely prefer the translucent ones. I see a couple that even appear clear (I can see the grid pattern through them), and those would be the best of the best to me. -Don

I'd love a Gem Silica cab - really like the included ones!

Hi all! I got the new batch of gem silica in the mail yesterday! it's darker than I've usually seen before, but very solid...with some malachite. I couldn't resist slabbing a little and doing a couple of test cabs. The larger stone is a dark teal, and the smaller is a dark turquoise. There is some translucency, but the pieces I cut were from the edges and had a good bit of malachite in it, and they tend to be more opaque. Anyway...here's the pictures: I think the material further into the stone should be more translucent and purer...let's hope! Jeanne
