Hi Everyone, Brian (beefjello) and I went back over to the agate pile yesterday, sat down, got comfortable and got busy filling up our buckets. This is some of what I picked out and brought home last night. I think each piece Rodney cut for me had a great little surprise in it. Mel, if you can ID any of these, please help me out because I have no clue what most of them are or if they even have a classified name. Thanks. Okay, here we go. This is the same slab as above only back lit. I saw all kinds of weird things in the bottom slab in this picture. Some scary looking face is trying to peer through the fog, I also saw an owls face, he has 1 white eye and 1 black eye. The top slab also has some goulies in it. Brian, this was one of the brown bisquits I grabbed yesterday. And in this slab I saw a baby eaglets head and neck, ok, yeah........Sure! Thanks for looking, these are for all of youz guyz that keep asking for more pictures!!

I see the baby bird's head and neck, too, but I see a baby ostrich with his head tipped back over his back. ;D
Beautiful stuff. Lucky you!

Thats it!! It is an ostrich, silly me, I was thinking baby eagle but you are 100% correct, that is an ostrich! Glad someone else saw it... Red, especially bright red is like a magnet to me. Plus, it just looks good in rocks!! Its a sassy little color.

Slabtastic! Slabberific! Those are some sweet slabs you scored there, mate. Great colours and great variety too.

Hey Jamie, can we go to the agate pile instead of going to Burro Creek? You missed all the sheep in the 6th pic, right underneath the vertical red streak in the middle of the slab. So where's the cabs?

OMG those are amazing, what beautiful stuff you got. Takle about drooling ... How did you ever walk away from the pile?

Many cool slabs there, Jamie . . . what variety! The red/orange/green/blue ones in pics 7 and 8 are screamin' "Cab me first!"

Thanks everyone, I cut a bunch more today so I will post more pictures in just a few. Hey Ed, The agate pile is our first stop on the Burro Creek trip, I have already talked to Jim about it so we will be stopping there on our way to Burro Creek. I was thinking it would be better to do it on the way home but not everyone will be here for the whole week so.........

Wowzerz!! You sure picked up some beauties out there girl! I've got the chance to cut just a couple so far. They've already progressed from slab to preform Ooh your little brown biscuit is beautiful inside! I'll have to keep a better eye open for those next time. Over all I think I did pretty good considering I had two defective squirt bottles to work with LOL Thanks again, it was a blast!
