whooohooo a whole pile of Randy's pendants - they just tickle my eyes! Starting to wonder what kind of junk school I went to though....we never had nothing like these going on for the holidays. Seriously - these are a great idea Randy - and $4 is a steal!!! I can't imagine that there will be a better way to spend $4 at this sale! How many will you be sending? and where is this school....  |

So far I have capped almost 300 of them. I'll be there in person with my own table. It's a two day event, Friday night and Saturday morning. After it's over, the adults will be able to go through and purchase items as well. I'm not really for this idea as it will ruin the surprize from the kids, and I wouldn't want a parent to purchase something that their kid just bought for them. Someone didn't think this through completely. I may pack up everything before they let the parents through. ;D

Nice layout in a case, lined up like soldiers. I would be interested to hear how they sold - ive always seen and appreciated how kids love my polished stones............ then wanted to rob them from me!!  I'd guess that 4$ is a steal for those. But of course Im over here and things are different. My guess would be that the kids want them for themselves - and "pretend" to be buying them for their parents. Yup - let us know how it goes. Yes I see what youre saying there - imagine the dissapointment a child would feel seeing that Mum or Dad went and messed up their special surprise.

Did you put your thoughts to the organisers of the event B-Randy to see what they think of their ideas in view of your recognition of this potential upset?

Good on ya mate!
I love seeing people go out of their way to do something good for kids. Kids need to see kindness, generousity and creativity. There are some many adults/companies/retailers who are just trying to use them and rip them off.
So good on ya for putting the kids first and the dollars second.
BTW, your pendants are awesome.

randy...i would definetly pack up and go before the parents had a chance to pick up a pendant from you...you are right that would totally suck for the kid that bought the same thing for mom or dad.
maybe to late now....but i would try to figure out a way to drop a small card or tag...or something with the website on it ;D...even if ya have to tie it on each necklace...who knows might make a sale or 30 ;D...hey...its exposure ;D....kev

Kevin- yep, already thought of the card idea. I'll probably get something made up at Office Max.
Mark- I'm not sure who the organizers are, it has something to do with the PTA (parents/teachers assocation). I do have the phone number of one of the organizers, I think that she may be the HMFIC (head MF in charge) ;D This weekend I'm going to give her a call, I need more info anyhow. The flyer says that spots are first come, first serve but it doesn't say what time we can show up. Maybe I should take this one over. lol
