Yippee! Got one more batch done yesterday. The shine on these is much better in person. The second picture on the right side is some Blue Ice Polka Dot from oregon. Shain (Freeform) made cabs for me a while back & returned the cutoffs so I could tumble them. This stuff really takes a beautiful shine. The last pic... I wanted the newbs to see how some of the rocks we pick up ourselves can tend to look. Some will take a shine real well but quite a few end up with the matte look. (I kinda like the looks of those too!) Thanks for looking all!

That's a real nice batch Liz. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried. Its a shame that Shain closed his forum down.

all look great. I talked to shain today. He's too busy with his job, and special order cabs to keep the forum up, so he had to close it down. I asked him if he fell off the face of the earth, he said No but hes at the edge. hehe

Great batch; I too like the first plate the best. Are those brazilians?

Thanks all.
Yup SS - those are brazillians. If I had to guess, I'd say the majority came from bits & pieces from Snowdog. He's the brazillian king!
As for the Poppy...I'm pretty sure that one came from some bits that Stoner passed on to me.
Roxy - I personally have found that all polishes are NOT created equal and it's hard to know who sells what. (Rock shops are a rather tight lipped bunch as far as production brands go!) Find someones tumbles you like & ask where they get their grit. One other thing I've learned about polishing is PATIENCE! the longer you can leave them to tumble, the better the polish!

Liz --- nice shine on those ! --- if I didn't know better I'd almost say I had seen some of those before ! ;D ( like 7:30 in the first pic - grey & brown strips)----- bet you could now handle those little ring cabs yourself ! ;D

Great.. more patience.. lol.. just what I need.. and seem to lack.. Only because I swear they are shrinking and I'm afraid by the time they come out looking they I want them to look they will be mud.. so.. I dunno.. I'm slowly talking myself into a cab machine .. Not that I even have the first clue what to do with one if I did get it.. but I am seriously thinking of passing the tumbler on to someone with that sort of Patience.. lol But I think I will shake a few up I mean ask a few what their secrets are.. *smiles*
