Hi, Folks; I'm just writing to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about you all or the slag that I have promised to you all. I have been really busy and have had little time to process the slag. It is still high on the priority list! I ordered a bunch of flat rate boxes two days ago, and so I'll have the "vehicle" to get the slag to you all. I've still got a lot of slag to clean and disinfect (it came from a gravel/rock bar and smells like a stagnant pond!). During the processing, though, I'm able to take a closer look at what I've gathered, and I really think that you all are going to be very pleased with what you receive. There are some very beautiful pieces in this bunch! Hang in there, and keep on rockin'!

I'll do a batch for you. We have enough tumblers, that I can donate a barrel for you. If you send us some, we will tumble it for you and send it back.

Thank you, Tellfamily. That is very kind of you. You're way down the list, though, so be patient!

I finally got official word from my employer on the ethics of collecting and selling slag. If the slag is site associated, it should be treated as an artifact and be left alone. If the site has been virtually destroyed already or if one is collecting slag downstream from the site, it can be treated like any other rock, and only landowner permission is needed. Therefore, I may collect it and sell it as long as I respect these conditions (for those of you to whom this applies).

I'd be interested to see what someone who's better equipped than me can do with it...

Hi ksnowboarder29. You joined the site today. As of this post you have made two posts, neither of which was introductory. Instead you resurrect a half decade old thread for the purpose of offering us your slag. In fact this thread is from 2006 and is a give away, yet you add your for sale as what seems like a afterthought. Why not start your own thread? Perhaps your slag is excellent, yet you did not even bother to share an image with us. We can see you represent yourself as female, you seem to lack a name. You also fail to put a price on your product. Let me be frank, I'll ask you this. Would you buy from me if I did exactly what you did?
