yepper, enough to give one nightmares, i'd dare say....
i guess despite the snow and ice, i live in a fairly benign part of the planet (NY). we have a marginal few rare poisonous snakes and deer ticks, but other than that, we have no killer things. we have wood spiders, they'll raise a welt and if you are allergic, maybe worse.
i suppose you trade off no snow for big bugs and creepy crawlers that go tick, tick, tick across the hardwood floor at night.....

There is a price to paradise. The spiders do not concern me as much as the pygmy rattlers. Those dudes have attitudes. Most snakes run when they hear sounds. These guys run to and get very agressive. Hey, I just found out what favorites are. I have put this site on favorites. I no longer have to go through MSN search to find rocktumblinghobby.com.

doc don't y'all have those guys in florida that come get "varmints" out of your house and relocate them. haven't i seen this on animal channel lol. i'd be calling them to get those snakes out. and i'd let somebody bomb the stew out of the house for spiders.
saw some of those banana spiders lying around looking innocent at the grocery store today. but i knew better and didn't bring them home lol ;D.

I hadn't ever heard of this spider before this thread and I love watching all those shows on Animal Planet, Discovery, Nat. Geographic, etc. about spiders, snakes and such. But they never talked about this dude. I still have goose bumps after seeing those pics! And may not ever buy another bunch of bananas!

Wow, Thank you so much Sandsman !! What a nice surprise this morning, I've not been able to get online since yesterday morning as hubby has been hogging the computer - switching his servers around Thanks to people that voted for the name Now I'm going to have to finish reading my wire wrapping book, so I can do it justice.

Congrats Rose. It's a beauty and I am sure, as with all of Sands other cabojohns, it is much prettier in person. So be prepared to have you socks knocked off when you open the package and see it in real life!
