Hi Ron, I'd like to see what you're talking about, but I don't see any of the images in your posts. Where the pictures should be just has [image], but no picture. Am I the only one having this problem? Patti

Hey Dusty, Compound rubbing alcohol (ethanol) and a toothbrush will get Sharpie marks off fairly easilly. Apply a drop of alcohol on the offending mark/stain, allow 5-10 seconds for it to soak in and it should gently scrub out of the pores almost completely in a few seconds. Works for me anyway but i've never tried it on pet wood before...

Hi One and All: I`m looking for info on some stones that I tumble and that they took a very very long time to polish up ,something in the months (5) . These stones are chocolet brown with white streaks running in all different directions . The white lines are norrow (maybe a the thousands width up to a 1/32 of and inches The brown like I said is like a candy bar brown. Can anyone show a little light on these as to what they might be? I thank You for Your Time. schoodic1@wildblue.net

My hubby just got me one of the Dremel drill press rigs for drilling stones...I've got it put together and am hoping to get to use it this week sometime.

Hi Titania,
Hope all goes well with the dremel,
Incidentally I'm using a ordinary Bench drill to drill with and use the dremel for polishing
I find a slower speed is better for me I can "feel " the bite of the bit and get a lot more life out of the drills
Used under water I can get a hole drilled in 3 to 5 mins depending on the hardness and thickness of the rock
There is a lot of good advicefrom Ron earlier in this thread Page 3
