Cookie, we would have done some real damage back then. In my last yearbook as a senior, they had a photograph of me tripping my brains out backed into a corner with those eyes. They also voted me "Most likely to................" I actually went to three Ivy League colleges, graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Phd. The one person I saw from my graduating class was completely taken aback. Everybody was so sure I was dead they never even bothered to send me an invitation to any reunions! I mean over thirty! Life is change indeed. I was considered the biggest loser anybody had ever met. It just took me a while to find things that interested me. I would have loved watching you do musical stuff in those positions. I could have been the bass sounds.

If you like music that's a little out of the mainstream how about Alabama 3. If you want the real experience, you have to buy your CD's in Great Britain though. The U.S. versions are censored. I have a real aversion to censorship. I order from Britain and have them shipped over to me. Cost a little more, but it's worth it. Another group is "Th' Legendary Shack Shakers" out of Kentucky. They did the CB Song that was used in the Geico ad. Their first CD they made themselves and used CD burners to make copies to sell. Wait a minute, maybe I should have posted that on the "Redneck" thread. Ron

OWWW, I love Pink Floyd. My young boyfriend (just call me a cradle robber!) I had when I was in Crested Butte and I spent our snowy evenings in front of the fireplace or in the hottub, sipping cocktails with Pink Floyd blasting.
Never was really much of a rock and roller. Being Texas born and raised always been more partial to country music, but there were always a few songs by the rock and rollers I really liked - although I couldn't name them now if my life depended on it. CRS disease, ya' know!
I did love ZZ Top. My next door neighbor in Houston dated one of them and I usually babysat her little boy when they went out. Met all of them at one time or another when they were going out. Usually got backstage passes for their concerts, but only got to go once or twice cause I was babysitting the other times so she could go.
Anybody ever heard of the 13th Floor Elevators? They were a band from my hometown & Austin. I went to school with all but two or them. We used to have a rockin' good time. Those bad boys introduced me to my first doobie and purple micro-dot. A couple of them took one too many of those purple micro dots and are no longer with us, mentally, anyway! The rest I am still friends with and see on occassion. They all still play music, but are a bit more laid back these days.
Sheesh, does that bring back a boatload of memories!
