My Avatar is gone.
All it does is show a box and an x.
HOw come if it was ok, did they fix it? NOw we are like every other forum. What made us special has been blended and we are now like all the rest.
What happened to, if it ain't broke don't fix it?

Guess you must have fixed it cause it's there now. We only got a temporary blend, we'll be back to our own soon. I'm liking more and more the new additions to the forum ... although there are still a few I'm not pleased with. Can't do anything about them though so must accept them.

I do not care for the bright green letters, and the soft purple background. It is hard to focus.
I think the Electricals are having a feast on our nervous reactions and are stepping up the nonsense.

Wish I could see the colors your seeing, sounds much more interesting than the yellows, tho I don't mind them. I'd like to see the green letters and purple background.

Cookie, retire Marge. Find one that really represents you. The Avatars, why they do not call them pictures I do not know, are on the member profile page under your name.
Find a good one. They have one in all red that might do.

the only thing i found so far that i dont like thats new is when you read a pm and hit reply it dont show the pm you just got under the reply your writing and with me if somebody talks about three dif things i cant remember them all hahaha and i have to keep goin back to look and see what the Q-s where hahaha

I am so right with you on that one Sands. As an alternative, I've been clicking on "quote" instead of "reply" so the message is included in the reply. Or, I've copied it and pasted it into notepad so I could refer back to it. It was much nicer to have it below the reply like the old version had.

they are talking about the Instant Messaging capability in here, Doc (i think). before the "upgrade" when you replied to a private message it "echoed" the message a the bottom of the screen so you could refer to it when answering. it doesn't do that anymore, so you kinda havta remember what the message was when replying. that is what Cher was saying, she cuts and pastes it. that's a good idea for us short-term memory challenged.
it also appears that all the site derived avatars are out partying with the electricals and only the custom ones appear to be appearing, so to speak. tho some times they are there and sometimes they are not.
somebody took Mark AND Andy down a rabbit hole here and we are still all somewhere in Wonderland.

Yup, that's exactly what happened to me and you're right .. it's just weird.
And you're right again, we were talking about the private messages. That's why I use the quote or copy and paste ... I am ... how you say ?? short-term memory challenged. That's a nice way to say CRS (can't remember sh!t).

My Bing! just doesn't look right. I have tried everything. I made it shorter, longer, I spaced it out. Nothing I do makes my Bing! look like anything anyone could recognise. Even my wife as she passed by asked, what happened to your Bing!? Maybe if I made it bigger, and it really stood out.

No one is going to have a camera for this one, it is like putting down 250 mouse traps. Place a ping pong ball in each one and drop another ping pong ball in the center.
Watching this new forum is like that. With each Bing! it sets off the mousetraps! Right in the middle of a sentace when someone is talking! Suddenly Bing! there go the mouse traps. It takes a while for the balls to stop bouncing and setting off the random trap.
The most difficult part is not letting the ping pong balls interrupt the person talking even though suddenly they go Bing!
Hospitals have figuired out how to deal with it. They have a machine that goes Bing! randomly, all the time. No one has to pick up the ping pong balls. There are so many Bing!s that the ping pong balls don't have time to accumulate.
Nobody slips and falls.
