464 after ROFLMFAO several times!!! ;D I LOVE the Daft Punk theme song too!! Sweeeeet I have to say though, the venus flytraps are a bit unrealistic... I have yet to get one of mine to grow large enough to catch a kitty... Need more plant growth horomones. A buddy of mine who went to UBC told me he'd seen one there that was artificialy grown large enough to eat a mouse! Here's a close-up of one of mine from last year... Just kidding! Here it is... That long skinny stem in the middle is the flower stalk. I tried to "breed" them a couple times & it's extremely hard to get them to produce viable seeds! They must be pollinated within 24-36hrs of the flower opening & only by the pollen from another plant! It then takes two months for it to finish producing the seeds and you're lucky to get three or four. They are little black dots the size of the period after this sentence. In order to grow them from a seed you need to put the seeds in damp sterile sphagnum moss sealed in a ziplock bag & put it in your refrigerator for another two months before they will sprout after you take them out. They can NEVER dry out or they will not sprout either. I have yet to get ONE to sprout & I have two more seeds in teh fridge right now that will be my last attempt to try growing one. In any case, letting a VFT flower usually kills it if it isn't at optimal health & causes the traps to stop growning & responding to insects so it doesn't eat the insects that would pollinate it. It's waaaaay easier to just buy a cultured VFT from a reputable garden store & pay the $7-8 for it. I developed a simple wick wetting system for them that has kept them happy & hungry .
