Rocks if there was a way to ship you some of this water, I'd do it in a heartbeat. It kills me to see my home state burning up. I mean think about it, they ran the Alaskan Pipeline, why couldn't there be something similar for areas that get too much water? Oh, I know why...water isn't oil and no one would make money Ya'll keep us in your thoughts, its getting bad. I'm praying the rain will head south so the fires go out.

actually more than sun we need colder weather... the worst part is the snow level is rising in the mountains, meaning there will be more snow melt in the already overflowing rivers. And at least another week in the forecast of mostly showers and rain *sigh* OTOH, this is just bringing down more rocks for us to find Wish i could get out to the coast to go looking for agates... this is the time of year the oldtimers out there find huge bars of agate on the beaches.

I could rent a drysuit and go diving!!! YEAH!!! Ooh I wanna go to the ocean.
Well, informed the wife she is taking off Jan. 26 so we can go to an Indigo Girls concert in Portland. She has to take some time off anyway or she loses it. So I said we'll make a day of it, go rock hunting and then hit the concert. So where are some good rock hunting spots around Portland?
I was also informed that this rock fetish of mine is "weird" but she puts up with it anyway. I think she's discovered it can also become quite expensive.

This would be somewhere around my 30th time of seeing them live. No, I am not a fan. Not at all.

I lived in both Portland, and Seattle. I remember the liquid sunshine real well. There, you do not tan, you rust. I remember it well, I miss the raspberries.

we get blackberries around here. I think I finally killed the canes that kept popping up in my front yard beds. So far this month, we've had 4.89" of rain according to my weatherbug station. Rain is currently falling at .04"/hr. If we get another week straight of rain, we will break our records.
It was the 98-99 winter that was the wettest on record I think.

I have a friend that just moved to bermuda. Bermuda is looking mighty good. You know, during the 98-99 winter when we had all the rain, it didn't bother me nearly as much.

State of emergency was just declared. Gov. Christine Gregoire proclaimed a state of emergency in King County and 11 other counties Friday because of flooding and damage caused by 26 consecutive days of rain.

If it makes you feel any better, it's raining in SoCal too. And Xena, your're wrong about not being able to sell water through your Sea-Tac Pipeline, that stuffs worth more than gold down here

HAHA no, our politicians don't believe in such things. Which is why I am SURE the sonics will get a new arena at our expense.
