The feeder fish are just gold fish, I bought 3 dozen and have 2 dozen left, the small sparrows and chickadees have grabbed a few. I got them last year and were about 1" long, this fall all of them are over 6" long. I netted all but 7 they are still in the pond. with all my underwater lights I can see them swimming from the kitchen window. the others are in the 55 gl. in the basement and 44gl. corner tank in the living room. As long as you keep a hole open when the pond freezes over to let the gasses escape they will be fine. I still run both pumps in the winter with the bubbler on it. Here is the bubbles working last winter. And the fish in the 55gl.
