Decided to return the other day when I read Cher's good news! Sent her an IM to tell her how happy I was to hear that she was fired! (by her doctor) I realize that she's not quite finished with the war but some major battles have been won and the enemy is on the run. The other reason I decided to return was the fact that I missed you guys...I finally finished a batch that I'm pleased with and was removing the stones from the barrel and cleaning them up the other day when I realized just what the board has done for me. I've learned so much here and I think I've made a few friends and don't want to lose that. I had mentioned that I was struggling with some personal issues...mainly the loss of my father last Sept. to cancer (pancreatic) We had been estranged for many years and had just recently begun to rebuild the relationship when he was diagnost....he made it a year but eventually succombed..Needless to say it's been difficult...I finally realized that I was transferring anger to other areas of my life and this board was one of those areas. So...after some Cosmic venting...I think I'm ready to retun... Hopefully you all will accept me back without too many hard feelings.....maybe some will and some won't...I can accept that. New name to better reflect who I am....a transplanted Irish Yankee in Texas.... Sorry for the trouble folks.... Dan  |

No troubles- Glad to see you back- One really nice thing I like about this board is that people are forgiving- SOrry about your dad- it is hard to express this in terms that convay the feelings- but I'll try- Thank the Lord for the Time you had- do not beat yourself up over the time you lost- Rejoice in his life- and the everlasting life he now has- be not sad for losing- but overjoyed at his finding peace! Welcome Back Dan- if you ever need to vent again- DO IT- It does not pay to keep that stuff bottled up- I know- It often leaks out at the wrong times-

Thanks guys...I really appreciate your kindness. You're absolutely right Stefan...I need to remember that he is Home now and his struggles and trials are over...still hurts though..I just miss him...and regret the time we wasted. Doc? are you listening? ...my pride got in the way as did his...I won't let that happen again..I do consider myself fortunate that I was able to reconnect with him before he passed...some aren't so fortunate.... Anyway...it's good to be back...gonna post lots of pics this Saturday!! Thanks again! |

Thanks all - 'Tiss good to be back! Thanks Susan...it hit me the other day when I was drilling a pendant for an hour and a half!! I suppose you could just call me "BS" for short....LOL

Glad your back Dan. I remember you mentioning about your Dad before because my Dad died the same month.
I can certainly relate to the rollercoaster of emotions that still continue.

Glad you are back. And I wasn't kidding about making a run up to Lake Livingston. Maybe it's time we get a bunch of the local RTH folks up there. Before it gets too bloody hot.

Dan-
Good to see you back and at 'em again. This board (as you well know) is a great "healer." I hope we can all enjoy this hobby together and help each other develop their skills here and try to not attack one another. I'm sure glad you came back!!!
