By popular demand (okay, only JJ asked but hey...) I will try to post this again without messing it up. I was suprised at how many Entomophobes creeped, slithered and/or squirmed out of the woodwork, out of your slippers and/or under the sheets at the sight of Cindy the Centipede... so I was just curious... how icky, creepy, frightening and/or disgusting is she on a scale of one to ten. Ten being "The Spawn of Hell!" (thanks Stefan, I love it!)  |

I think insects are way cool. They'll be here long after we are extinct. Love arachnids, especially spiders. Like snakes, but leave them alone if they're poisonous. I DON'T LIKE WASPS. Totally freak if they're around. Dragonflies are the bomb. In fact, I have a big dragonfly tattooed on my left shoulder. What I'm NOT fond of is the parasitic things - ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, chiggers, etc that carry disease. EW.  S PS: Yeah, Paris Hilton is pretty high on the icky scale. |

nope, i find poor Cindy totally icky. not her fault i am a bugaphobe. i hate them, all of them, but especially things with more than six legs. multiple legs= big creep factor for me. ditto flying insects, ESPECIALLY wasps.
i can handle rodentia and snakes (as long as i know where they are in relation to me own skin). but bats creep me out too.
just out of curiousity, BAZ, how long is Cindy?

You know, I used to think centipedes were really cool until my dad told me they were poisonous. Ruined catepillars for me as well.
Now, they only give my a heart a little jump right before I grab a nice heavy shoe. (Has to be heavy or else you feel the crunch. *shudder*)

BAZ - I got the centipede for a 2, but you got Hilton too high on the list.

Yeah Rich, I think I'd agree! KD Cindy was about half the length of a #2 pencil. But I saw one in Winslow that was a pencil and a half! The guy who owned the shop (it happened to be dead in a machine shop where I was making a delivery) that I saw it at said that was nothing, he has seen them bigger in Louisiana! Yeesh! That is too big.

Kind of ok but really, the ickiest thing i ever saw bug-wise was a stickbug in Texas. Well ok, that was icky enough but when my mom killed it? ANOTHER crawled out. EWWWWWWWW. Makes my stomach flip even thinking about it.
