Wow some interesting view points- I personally see the high gas prices as taking money away from other areas of personal persuit (mainly buying rocks and other non needed items) THe thing that gets me is the record profits these oil companies are posting- I am all for profitabliity and the free market system- but ther is profit- and then there is price gouging!!!! Just mention a hurricane and the price of gas goes through the roof!!! Now all the gas we use around here comes out of Canada- from Candian oil!!!! no hurricanes in Canada last I heard- My Sister works for Mobil Exxon- they just had a company shindig in New Orleans- All expenses paid- to talk about?

? Nothing- the main discussion was on the purchase of a gulf coast rig- that they already own 70% of- just waste waste waste- and American car companies wonder why we won't purchase gas guzzlers anymore?

I can't tell if thats some Gneiss Schist, or that Schist is Gneiss. All I know is don't take it for Granite

They are either subsidizing their own pump prices hugely, or making incredible profits selling it to the rest of the world (I imagine it's both).

Well we broke $3.00 a gallon today!!!!! they are now saying $4.00 a gallon before we see any decrease- What is sad is that if the price comes down- you know we will all be thrilled with $2.50 a gallon!!! Jeeze- I rememeber a couple summers ago when it fell to .99 cents!
