Hey, all, i know i havent been on for awhile, but i am having internet troubles. i just would like to make a quick post, and let everyone know..
a while back i gave someone my address, and they kindly sent me a box of nice things to polish. it included agates and pet wood, along with a large amount of grit.
then my half-pound tumbler(the only one i own) broke, and i could not even finish the batch of obsidian i had been working on before i had received the shipment. i was very disapointed, and i have been agonizing over that for a while now.
then i received another shipment from someone entirely different, completely unnanounced. i have no way to polish this new 10 ponds of rock!
please stop sending me stuff.
thank you

And folks wonder why Dragons get such bad name!
10 lb of rocks "completely unnanounced', Hell, if we got that, THE NEIGHBORS WOULD THINK WE HAD WON THE LOTTERY!
You had been given a GIFT! "please stop sending me stuff " Show some appreciation!
Get real, so your roundy, roundy broke.
There are folks here who would have sent you a TUMBLER! JUST BECAUSE THEY CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER!
Do not take your anger out on the kindness of somone who sent you a GIFT!

So sad that the young these days have no idea what it is to give or RECEIVE a gift.

Still, the chances of a 3rd person sending rocks was low. How the 2nd person got the address is unclear, unless it was publicly posted. The appeal was not really necessary.
A more diplomatic response might have said "Thanks, But I have all I can handle for now"
Maybe the rudeness was unintended. Sometimes intended light-sounding-tones do not come through the keyboard.

Maybe the rudeness was unintended. Sometimes intended light-sounding-tones do not come through the keyboard. I can't read " Quit Sending me stuff!!" any other way but with rudeness. Kevin, that would be a great idea but I'm sure the chances of that happening are probably slim to none.

Oh, gosh! i really didnt mean to sound rude! crap. that was really uncalled for. sorry all. it's probably just that i had just Gotten finished getting screamed at and reamed after a long terrible day. i didn't mean to sound rude or ungrateful or any of that, you guys, and i'm sorry. really. i can't say it enough.

I am so glad you came back in and said that. I'm very happy to know it was unintended and soon all shall be forgiven and forgotten. Do take note that if you want to send it back, we're running some auctions for a fellow member who's wife has bone cancer. Just trying to help them out some. Perhaps if you can't use it, it could be auctioned off, but don't worry if you're going to be getting another tumbler, keep it and use it.
