Happy Birthday Roland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you will make the best of things...By the sounds of those practical jokers I would make them take the first bite of any cake LOL... Let me know if a fella by the name of Terry from Portland has gotten in touch with you about the tumbler.. I hope to see you home soon!!!-Dale Rhode

Oh wow Roland! Those pics are unbelievable! You see it on TV, but there's something about seeing them "in person". From the thumbs up on the little boys hand, I feel more like the people there are truely glad you guys are there with them. You're a good looking soldier my friend, just please stay safe while you do what you do!! Keep them rocks rollin'. Tonja

those are great photos, LadyT is right, it makes it more "real" when you see them from someone you know, well, kinda know, y'know?
the camels in the first shot looks like it could be some vacation destination.....but the other photos, yikes.....reality bites.
thanks for posting, Roland, hope you had a great birthday.

Happy Birthday Roland! Have a fine day and keep it safe over there. I mailed those rocks to your sons last week so they should have them soon if not by now. Great pics! Take care.....mel
PS What the heck kind of rifle is that your carrying in that pic? Is that a tricked out M-14 or some kind of modified Mini-14 5.56 mm? Very kewl anyway. I want one! *L*

Hope it was as good as it could be...I have a family member in Kuwait, just across the street from you. He's a member of the National Guard 127th Infantry unit, I think, from Appleton, Wisconsin.
Take care... Susan
