Ok I know nothing about stars other then I like to look at them but dam the old bumper sticker that said the one with the biggest toy wins I think you have it!! Steph

If you ever get the chance, go to the Grand Canyon's star party. There you will see all kinds of telescopes, and whatever a telescope can see, you will see it. Galaxies, planets, nebulas. DANG lonewolf that is one BUBBA of a scope- Sweet- we just have the little ole 5 inch newt reflector- but my parents have a nice little meade 3.5 sc- and my bother in law has a 10" meade- I like it where we are as we have pretty dark skies I will probably have a big scope (8 to 10 inch range) by next winter-

Yea My Bro-in-law complains about his too! Says He loves the view- but uses it less than he wants too cause of the wieght!!!

My 6" Meade is pain enough. I filled the aluminum tripod with sand to make it more stable and that is pretty heavy in it self.

I was into Astronomy when I was younger, cool stuff. (that's when I learned that what I thought was the "Little Dipper" was actually the Seven Sisters) ;D

I'm pretty sure that I got my hernia (since repaired) from picking that 12.5 bastardo up by myself. Large scopes....big rocks.....what the hell is it about gravity and me???
