They said it was a pretty bad one so he could use a few extra thoughts and prayers if you can. Cher

We still don't know anything, they did an electrocardiogram today to check the damage. He's on a ventilator and they are keeping him completely knocked out right now. Nurse said the plan is to bring him out of it tomorrow and see if he can breathe on his own. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers ... Dan, his name is Herman.

Just want to thank you all again for your prayers and thoughts. My fil is still hanging on but he's been kept sedated, basically like being in a coma. They estimate his heart damage to be about 70% so are totally amazed he's doing as good as he is. We'll find out for sure tomorrow when they remove his breathing tube. He was able to breathe by himself for several hours Sunday so our hopes are high. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it.

We went in yesterday morning and learned he had pulled out his breathing and feeding tubes sometime in the night. He was tied down, don't know how he was able to do this. He seems to be breathing just fine and is allowed to have pureed foods. Found out today he'll be moving to a nursing home Friday and they are going to start physical therapy on him. I am totally amazed at him.
