Everybody gets bent out of shape about the number of people killed by drunk drivers . . . fair enough.
Where's the outrage about the bigger number killed by sober people?

well who the heck wants a camera in their own car no matter what its monitoring? and how stinky does a sweat detecting steering wheel get? if you do drive while drinking you sure wouldn't want to buy a car that knew that and if you don't why would you want to pay to have this in your car? sounds like a huge waste of money to me.

*Note to self: wear gloves if going bar hoping*
The scariest thing about this car is that it will be made in China. If detroit thinks they got it bad now, wait till China enters the market

Gotta agree with ya'll. Don't think this ones gonna fly very well AND Toyota's are one of the most expensive (mid-range) vehicles there are. Unless the parents are in the upper stratosphere of earnings, not too many kids will be driving a vehicle with this option built in.

ok here is a question . what about my daughter who never drinks but everytime her or her kids get in the car after shopping they all wash their hands with alcahol wipes to take care of germs. i hate to say it but we have to many big brothers now and to many big companies dumbing up the world because they think the majority of us don't have comon sense. wow this is one of my longest resposes yet. I need to get back to my grinders ( no interlocks just common sense and experiance if I do something wrong) Dick B.

Do they really think that anyone who does drink and drive would even buy a car equipped with that kind of stuff. Looks to me like just more electronic poo to screw things up in the car.

Joi's brother just recently got his license back after a couple of DUI's. His current car has a breathalizer in it. He has to blow into the damn thing before he starts the car. If the car sits for longer than 30 min. He has to blow again. He was required by insurance and DMV to get this device. If he gets another DUI he will lose his license permanently.

These kinds of things always start out targeting the drunks, wife beaters, perverts and drug dealers etc. so the ridiculous measures that TPTB want to implement to control people actually look like good ideas. In the end, we'll all live in a society where our "freedom" is entirely illusionary. Don't get me wrong, i'm all for keeping drunk drivers off the road but that's not what this is really about me thinks...
