Stoner and Desertdweller got me inspired to start a sunset thread. Guess this is what happens when I haven't had any tumbled stone pics to post in ages.

;D I decided to spend the winter just doing coarse grind, so now I'm picture-itchy. Anyway, this is a sunset just outside of Tucson in February 1992. The sky is cloudless, but is coloured red and purple by volcanic ash from the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in June 1991. The colours are accurate. That was so cool.

I encourage everyone to add in with pics!!

	I can't tell if thats some Gneiss Schist, or that Schist is Gneiss. All I know is don't take it for Granite

Wow these are great.. Joe you do nice work! I know what you mean about the colors Baz, for me it's striking how intense they can be. We get some nice sunsets here. Where are those pics...

These were taken from my backyard just west of Houston...

The colors are much more intense than the pictures show... it's probably the pollution... lol.
