What Condor said! If the teacher would have took it that way. The teacher didn't and involved everyone.
Today you can't count on people having common sense!

My grandmother was a kindergarder teacher. When I was ten and viisiting her house for a week she gave me a Buffalo Bill pocket knife. She showed me how to safely use it and how to whitle a tree branch. My mom had a cow, but hey her mom was the Boss. I carried it until it fell apart. Then I got a swiss army knife. When I turned 16 I got a 12 gauge shot gun. You should have seen my sisters faces; priceless. Society is getting away from reality; rules dont make people safe. Good parenting makes people safe. The problem is that a lot of parents want the schools to raise their kids and they dont have the people power so they become over reliant on the rules. Get everyone to write a letter to the school board in support of a suspension.

Yea those Zero tolerance policys SUCK- Heck when I was in High School we used to be able to bring Our SHotguns into school (we Hunted after school- all we needed was a note from home and we had to drop the shells off at the office!) They tried to expell my son from school for having a deer slug in his pocket ( the base was completly rusted he had found it while playing in the stream) Now you can't even say the work "gun" with out the WHole world freaking out!
