Cher - I run XP Pro SP-2 on all my PCs. Rocky makes an excellent point. Pre-loaded OS come with lots of junk you don't need. I allways reformat and install a clean OS when I purchase a new one. My company will not be upgrading to Vista, Office 2007 or IE 7.0 right now. Too many incompatablity issues. Interesting note about Windows Vista - The NSA was involved in developing the security features on the new OS to ensure compatabilty with government security standards (and to engineer back doors? for monitoring your activities?). However, most federal agancies have delayed migrating to the new OS... your tax dollars at work!! www.fcw.com/article97826-03-05-07-Webuk.news.yahoo.com/14032007/152/federal-agencies-shun-windows-vista.htmlwww.msnbc.msn.com/id/17739772/wid/11915829/

Cher- A local built machine is probably the way your gonna have to go- XP is only available in the Pro version (the Home version was upgraded and tweaked some many times it is essentially the same as Pro).
