Hi guys...just a quick note.
So friday morning, Mom passed away. I imagine she's kickin my Dads ass for leaving her & she's getting him started on how things are gonna be different now that she's in charge again!
I'm thankful she's gone. She was strong, tough and very loving and had gone through more pain than any one person should have had to deal with. Her last few weeks with us, while painful, were what all children should have. I got to tell her over and over how much I loved her as did her granddaughter Becky.
We're ok. Tuesday is the funeral. Afterwards, we're gonna go back to the family property my brother & his wife have their house on & we're gonna GET OUR PARTY ON as was her wish.
Corona's with extra lime and Cadillac Margarita's.
Thanks all. Talk to ya soon.

Liz, I am so sorry! Even when you know it's coming, and logically you know it's the right time, it still hits your heart pretty hard. My thoughts are with you and your family!

Aww Liz, I'm so sorry for your loss, my prayers to your family.
I have to chuckle at your remark about her taking over with your dad again, we're always saying my mil is waiting for fil with a frying pan in hand and hollering, I told you not to eat that greasy food!! It's wonderful you were able to have that special time with her, enjoy your memories and share them over those margaritas.

Hi Liz,
Just wanted to let you know I am with you in spirit today as you celebrate your Mom's life. The sadness does lessen over time as more and more of the good memories take the place of sorrow.

Hey Liz, I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. I know how hard it hit me when my mother died. But I also agree with your mother's wishes that you party when it's all over. I grew up in a Polish neighborhood, and I learned early about how to end the grieving with a party. You do indeed need to grieve, but when the grieving is over, you need to let loose with a celebration, that the life cycle has maintained itself once again. And today, I will hoist one high, to celebrate your mother. Her job is done, for she has brought you into the world to carry on her legacy, and I dare say, her job was well done.
I salute! Ron
