I have been remaining silent in hopes this issue would die out but it hasn't! I would like to make the following points and then I will be silent on this issue again. This board is made up of hundreds of rock hounds from all over the world. Each of us is different. Different in the way we think, act, react, speak, describe and so on. The differences are what makes us each so unique! Some of us are very calm, some of us have tempers, some of us are extremely intelligent, some of us are average, some of us like agates better, some of us like jaspers, some of us are old hats at this hobby, some of us are newbies. My point is........that we all are different and if this board is going be a place of friendship and family, we each have to accept the others just the way they are. We don't have to like everybody but we do have to acknowledge that they are different. We have all made mistakes (me especially) on this board, be it little or huge. Forgive and forget! A little bit of honesty here............I like everyone on this board. It doesn't mean I don't get angry with one of you every once and a while and spout off. I tend to have a big mouth! What I am asking is for each of us to acknowledge each other for our differences. Appreciate the knowledge, love and kindness on this board. For each and every one of us to let go of past issues and move on to different and better posts. Acknowledge if we make a mistake and then everyone let it go. If we brow beat an issue, it will never go away. We are all brothers and sisters in this rock world and I am proud to be a member. Please think about this post before you respond. I am not attacking any one or any thing. I just want the issue to end and us all be a family once again. Remember the Hatfield's and McCoys? I don't want this to happen to us! Word Sheri  I think the fact that this forum is so mellow most of the time leads us to over-react a bit when the usual forum conflicts flare up over here. Most of the time things just get taken the wrong way and then blown out of proportion which pretty much comes with the territory and is at least partly to blame on the media itself. Written words can be (mis)interpreted in different ways where-as spoken words carry inflection as to the speakers feeling and intent. There is also always that one in a hundred who just doesn't fit in or doesn't want to get along with everybody else. C'est la Vie, peace everyone!  |

The fact that we are all human, makes us all different. The fact that we are all different gives us varying opinions. That fact that our opinions differ make life interesting. The fact that we are all rockhounds makes us family. Even family differ on occasion, but for the most part families have learned to forgive or at least to let us have our own opinion without ostracizing those that differ. Aren't we family?  ? I was once guilty of picking a nit on this board-and I am sorry.This will not happen again.I do feel a sense of kinship and I find that carefully considering what you are going to say and how before doing so is most helpful.Rocks are good.Mike.

RTHers are like rocks- they're all different. If all rocks were the same then rocks would not be as interesting. And sure, if you put different types in the same tumbler batch you sometimes run into problems, but in the end they all come out shining and sparkley.

I tend to avoid confrontation, but sometimes I feel like throwing a rock at someone. ;D Careful where you toss that piece (unless it's a fire agate or boulder opal  ). We all live in glass houses! Just coming in on this after a long absence. I have seen other such rifts and I hope evrything works out.
I have to say I have never met a nicer group of people than those right here on RTH!

I got a beef with you...it is time this comes out in the open....if you get mad at me(I hope you do) then please throw a very large rock my way!!!!! I have my hockey helmet on and my football glove on to catch it with. HA HA HA!!!!!!
