I have been talking with a friend about how he thinks America is doing.
This is his responce. made me think and I think he is on the button with it.

Because america has gone from an industrialized nation economy to a services economy.....EVERYTHING in america is for sale, our companies, technology, heck including our nations parks and highways etc....Numerous american highways are now owned by foreign nations believe it or not....We are becomming the land of walmarts, hotels, 7-11s,pornography etc....The only american made model of car that raced in this years daytona 500 was a TOYOTA camry !.....America is actually no longer a country folks......Its a COMPANY....The usa inc.....Why do you think our nations borders are so OPEN.....Even during this day and age of terrorism ? Because america is no longer a sovreign country....We are just part of the north american union in the eyes of the BIG SHOTS who are really in charge of things, and that is the socialist UN.....Global warming and global gun control are the key issues that will once and for all give them FULL power and control over the masses.....Just watch how KEY leaders of countries are slowly bowing down to this MANMADE climate change nonsense!!!FOOLS !
We have 5% unemployment, and can afford cars and tools etc, because at the moment americans paychecks can buy things at cheap prices because about 60% of what we buy is made in other countries where labor is so cheap.....Walk through home depot, lowes, sears, the harley dealer, walmart, etc etc.....And take a GOOD look where ALOT of the stuff is made...Our soldiers combat boots are even made overseas these days.....Drive through the carolinas, alabama, georgia , tennessee, and look at all of the closed down textile mills etc ...... even Levis ain't american made anymore..
One day we will ALL have to pay the piper for our LAZY and GREEDY ways.....Many years ago, the communist said they will take over america without even firing a shot.....They said they will HANG us, and we will have to pay them for the very rope [ because we will no longer even make rope ! ]....Who do you think is keeping america afloat these days by buying our nations debt ? CHINA !...............And where are we getting ALOT of our clothes, tools, gadgets, boots, bikes, innertubes, toys, models, etc etc.....CHINA !
We are now CONSUMERS and much less PRODUCERS.....Such has all the makings of DISASTER ! . There was a time when folks earned a living by the sweat of their brow, and the rewards of such were worth MUCH more than just a paycheck..Seems these days, folks are looking to retire as early as possible so they can enjoy the GOOD LIFE ! The GOOD LIFE is nothing more than smoke and mirrors, and its very foundation is WEAK when it is based on 401k this, mutual that, housing sales etc....All are subject to be worthless in a moments notice....History proves it over and over again.
Things on the SURFACE look great for most of us........BUT i personally see DISASTER looming for the AMERICA as i once knew it....Simply because more and more people want the goverment to FIX the weather, to FIX their health, to FIX their house, to FIX their job, to FIX their breast, to FIX their sexuality, to FIX their drug habit, to FIX their alcoholism, to FIX their school.......They look at goverment as GOD !.....I see such type people more and more as the years go by....Sorry to rant, but i cannot help but believe this good economy is based on a VERY weak foundation......BUY GOLD FOLKS........Because the democrats and republicans sure as heck ain't gonna FIX things.

) Then get enough passive income to cover that. If the economy tanks at least I have fewer expenses to worry about; if it booms I got more money to invest with more choices.
