Thanks - I am trying my hand at wrapping, but need pics to understand the directions. I went to your web site - you are a very experienced and artistic wire wrapper! retro

Thanks for the compliments, it's always nice to hear someone likes your work. This one had me frustrated for a long time, I had more curls and ended up cutting them off and just leaving them simple wraps around the main wire. I see something I need to fix now that I'm looking at the picture. It cold almost be worn either way, maybe if I fix the little boo boo it could be. Good luck with learning, that's how I did it, by studying pictures of others work. Did a lot of practicing with artistic wire before I moved to the expensive stuff.

Thanks Sands, that's what I was going for, I wanted the stone to show the neat color and pattern in the stone. The back hopefully stays hidden *smile* That was one I got out of a slab that earthdog sent me. I really love that rhodonite, it polishes just beautifully. If you can get a piece that has the black patterned in it, it's amazing. I'm surprised you haven't done any of it yet Sands. I've got a couple of small pieces I'm going to try and drill for earrings so I can make a set.

Beautiful! Rock is gorgeous, too. Thanks for not showing the rock to me, Earthdog, before you sent it away! (just kidding) I love Rhodonite, too!

I never thought I'd pay for some of my rock twice. I just bought this piece of rhodonite back from Cher. She drives a hard bargain, but I got it for a great price for the craftmanship that was put into this piece of jewelry. Sure hope the wife loves me more today. If not, I'll have to get a girlfriend to give it to.
Just kidding there, Takila. Damn, there went the metal detector

Depending on what time we leave and when it arrives, I could wear it up to the Gem Shop in Cedarburg on Saturday and show it off!

Wow, gee whiz and whoopee. Those Rhodonite cabs are spectacular. Congrats Sands and Cher. That is a beautiful wrap Cher.
Cher Where did you get your practice wire. Our WalMart only carries 20 g gold craft wire and its hard to straighten.
I don't want to buy good wire to practice with so what do you suggest?

Really beautiful. I like it when the wrap shows off the rock like that. Have you tried to get hold of any of the Wire Artist Jeweler magazines? Unfortunately, they've gone out of business, but you can order the back issues thru the website. www.wag.on.ca/ They've got beautiful projects in each issue with extensive instructions & pics of each step. I believe it was (& is) the best on the market for wrappers.
