This is probably my 5th attempt at wire wraping... and again I was humbled by how difficult it is. Makes me appreciate how nice all the pieces are that everyone here posts.. you guys are talented bunch. Sterling silver dead-soft square and half round. Can't remember the gauge.

I'm flabberghasted! Did you shape the stone shaped like that or is there clear agate on either side? Never mind I had a look-see again
Either way, I'm stunned! it's breathtaking! Me likes it a lot

Thanks for the compliments everyone.. you're very kind. The stone is green Aventurine, shaped using a WorkForce and tumble polished. After seeing it in another post, Daniel asked how I planned to set it. I didn't want to drill it so I decided a wrap would be best. I stared at it for a while before decided to just let the wire follow the curve and finish the line. I like the way it enhances the negative space of the cab shape.
Hope to do more soon. Thanks
Oh yea. Kim.. All 4 wires were wrapped part way at the top, then I clipped 2 and finished the rest of the way.. I think it will hold.. it's pretty tight..hehe

WOW that is beautiful, you did a great job on it, I had to take a second look to make sure it was a sculpted stone and not a bevealed stone. Tami

Holy cow Dan, that is awesome. I almost missed this post and I'm glad I didn't. The stone has such a great shape and your wrap compliments it perfect. Great job.

Wow! Dan that is absolutely stunning, you couldn't have done a more perfect wrap for that piece. I think you've been practicing, that's so nice and smooth, sure doesn't look like a beginners. I am totally in awe!! Wow! I was looking for just the right spot and couldn't have found a better place for my 11,000th post!

Wow.. I didn't expect this kind of response to this wrap. I mean... compliments from all my favorite wire wrap artists, a 'Holy Cow!' from Stoner and Cher honored me with her 11,000 post! That's really somethin'. ....I'm working on another one right now! ...lol Thanks again for all the encouragement and congratulations Cher! ... that's quite a milestone!

;D I was going to leave Stefan hangin' for awhile, wondering when I'd post it but your beautiful pendant stopped me dead in my tracks. I can't wait to see what you come up with next Dan, I wish I could put my ideas to work but they never seem to work out the way my "inner eye" sees them.
