I love that cab - what is it? Did you cut & polish it yourself? I like that you chose to keep the wrap simple on that. I'm not crazy about the swirly on it...are you able to end the wire without it - perhaps a weave around the ends...The herringbone weave looks good on the side beads... Great job!

wow, very nice. I would worry that the big stone would cause the whole necklace to shift due to its weight?? very pretty

Thanks all! The stone is a Crazy Lace agate from Mexico with a gorgeous drusy pocket. I do not cut cabs (yet). lol The pendant isn't as heavy as it looks...so I don't think it will shift. As for the 2 curls...I hated the look without them...ah well...personal tastes and all. As for my new horse...I named him "Patron". He is a Peruvian Paso. I plan on taking pics soon.

Thanks Dan! I got the cab down in Laredo. I sure miss going to that little rock shop...but it is too dangerous down that way, so I don't go there any more. If it ever is safe again...I'll be going for sure! lol

Nancy, your work is so original! You have taken (at least 3?) stones and used them in a larger piece of work, rather than using those stones individually. Well, it really works. And yes, it is an amazing piece. Using the large druzy on the side, rather than in the middle, draws the eye upward to the total effect. You are an artist! Thanks for sharing your ideas (which you could probably patent) with all of us wannabees!

Thanks Karen! *blush* Actually...there are...lets see....The rounds are natural fossil stone...the cab Crazy Lace Agate...some Hematite (dark grey) and um...Botswana Agate barrels with Bali silver and Hematite rondelles serving as the other link section. However, that section was boring and I haven't taken a pic of it yet. I will have to take new pics, as only the herring bone weave fossil stone bead came out decent. sigh.... ooooh...and patents on jewelry are rare. It's very hard to sue someone for copying a design. Sad but true. Hence you see knock offs...specially after the Oscars and such.

Oooooooooooo a Paso, are there pics of him yet?
Ooops, sorry .... saw Paso and all else left my mind. That necklace is really cool, I've thought of trying the herringbone but haven't attempted it yet.

Nope...no pics yet of Patron. Maybe today? Thanks for the kuddos on the necklace. The weave takes precision for it to come out just right...but is not difficult to do at all. I hate to measure...but for this weave...I did. lol...

Wowzers Nancy. Very nice. I love the crazy lace cab-I had picked up a slab during my CO trip and was cutting a cross-cracked right down the middle. Was so bummed! Get us some horse pics for sure!
