Happy Birthday Mark. Don't worry about how old you are, but how old you feel. I'm past 50 and I'm still wonderin' when I'm gonna become an adult. Hey, compared to the rocks we tumble, we're all just infants. Ed

Mark, you are only 36? Wow, It took me untill I was over 40 before I got the courage to break off and forge for my own. I was actually over 40 when I threw in the towel and went to Alaska. No matter who you are, I kinda wish I had our schmutz when I was 36. I neither believed in myself, or had the oomph to just break out. I was too busy trying to be heard on subjects that did not matter. You are four years from 40, life begins for real at 40, it picks up the pitch at 50! I was an excort, and exotic dancer at 38. Having a Phd, I was very desireable for the married executives to show off, take to fine dining, and mentoring a conversation. Having been an athelete of sorts all my life, I also had endurance others lacked. I made some big bucks and it went into my arm, and nose, and finally in a glass. I was five years sober when I went to Alaska. You will find a lot of answers. Life will become an entity in balance and proportion. Isn' it amazing how everybody wishes they were somebody else and how jealous others are untill they realize how similar each one of us is? Just an example, I am building a boat. I am restoring a 1960 40hp Evinrude. I am enjoying the limitations and the accumulated knowlege and wisdom I can apply. Years ago, I built several boats during the years. Each one had something shoddy, something I cut a corner on and it ultimately showed. In my 50's it is different. I can apply what I have learned, in timely fashion, without compromising anybody, anything, or neglecting my primary responsibilities, which is my shop, house, and first and foremost, my wife. Happy birthday. It is a privilege to be able to share my feelings, musings, and knowlege with you. I think you have earned it. I earned an artificial knee, two spinal fractures, three cervical vertibrae fractures, two torn rotator cuffs, bullet wounds, fractured skull, bankruptcy, total disrespect, and contempt from everyone who looked at my labels, not my motives. Today, people seek me for work no one else does. Life is change. Congrats indeed. I hope you feel the joy I have come to feel through living. Happy birthday, and have at it!

Happiest of Birthdays Mark! Or, for "Mark", Happy first birthday! I love birthdays. One would think that the older you get, the more you would dread them. To me, each year is another year wiser, stronger as a result of lifes lessons, "back up, punk kid, you don't know diddley!" I have earned a certain amount of respect through life experience. I was 35 when that came to me. At 35, by God, I was a women. Each birthday after was growth, learning, sharing. I could go down, but up seemed a much better option. It just gets better from here. You have your youthful playfullness (NEVER loose that!) your intelligence and life experience. Take it and run! It only gets better ;D

Happy Birthday Mark ... 36 ... you are still a pup! (younger than me ;D) I hear you though ... I never in my life ever thought I would reach 42 ... and in April I will add one more number I used to think that 42 was old ... now I ask myself what is old? My wife tells me ... "you are 42, but, you act like you are 17 years old" ... it's all in your head ... if you tell yourself that you are old ... you will believe it and age faster that you can possibly imagine ... stay young at heart and live life to the fullest ... and you will never grow old You don't stop playing games because you grow old ... you grow old, because you stop playing games ;D Happy Birthday my friend, John

Age is no barrier to any of us as far as the love of the rocks goes.
20..30..60..what does it matter , we are all the same under the sun and tinfoil hats.
what matters is that we live in harmony with each other and enjoy each others work , comments and help and most of all the results which we share through the fotos.
So here goes for MARK ...HAPPY BIRTHDAY my friend may you have many more yet ....it seems a heck of a long time ago since I was 30-something ;D ;D Only turned 60 this year and still enjoying life as much as possible. I reckon it gets better with age.
3 cheers for MARK
Jack
