Found a used Genie for sale on a Bob's Rock Shop advertisement. Sent the guy an email, someone else had already inquired about, but he wanted to pay in amber and the guy needed money. So, we talked a couple of times and I sent a cashier's check.
After sending the check, I wondered if I was being gullible and too trusting. Although the guy did send me a reference phone number of his boss. I think I was so trusting because of all the good folks on this board. The guy called back to say he got the check, then called again when he was going to be delayed shipping because his saw died while building the crate.
I got the Genie on Friday! I am one happy camper!

Those genies are pretty cool. Turn them on, and make a cab.

Awesome- Jeeze I still have not gotten my new machine yet---- I got a guy interested in my Chevy Truck- gonna look at it this week- Let's keep our fingers crossed- Congrates Cal- So where are the cabs???

Well it's about time Cal. Congrats. Now you have no excuse for not cranking out a bunch of cabs. But if you got the machine on Friday, how come there aren't at least 10 cabs posted here? Oh, and I DO know where you live!

Between the kid's soccer games, my cousin's wedding, a barbeque over at my folks house and chores, there just are enough days on the weekends to play! I do have it set up. Although, I thought I had a problem with the bubbler until I realized I had to turn it over to get the water to shoot up not down LOL.
So far, next weekend looks less hectic, but the kids have been asking to go fishing. Do think I could plug the Genie into my cigarette lighter on my car LOL.
Daniel, I have been eyeing the slabs from you and/or ED. Both batches have some picture jaspers that are just calling my name!

Come on over here again Cal, now I have some of Jamie's Arizona agates and they are some very cool stones for making cabs.

Jeeze Cal another Barbeque?  THat's like 2 weekends in a row!!!! But I understand how life gets in the way of cabbing- I came home from Camp Early on Sunday- to Cab- well after fixing a tumbler problem- the lovely Mrs. W pointed out that I had not mowed the lawn in over 2 weeks- and that I had better get my Lazy A out on the John Deere or else! You realize how hard it is to mow grass when all you can think about is cabs (ANd what idiot planted a dozen and a half trees in a one acre plot that already had 2 dozen trees on it???) |

Yes, Congrats Cal! I can't wait to be posting my first Genie. Might be a while though, but Have Fun Man! Can't wait to see some cabs.
